The vintage children's clothing you'll find here at The Gatherings Antique Vintage includes the era from later 1920 to the later 1940.  Many of our items are more than suitable for childrens re-enactment or renaissance accessories.

The fashions from this time period range from the simple home sewn, many made of feed /flour sacking, to fashionable store bought.

Although many families struggled with the hardship of little money, mothers were resourceful using their needlework skills to create enchanting clothing for their little ones.  I think you will find some wonderfully unique, if not one of a kind, children's clothing from this era ~ a tribute to the women that made them.

Even with the struggle through the Depression years, some families were more fortunate being able to purchase store bought clothes, or at least on occasion.  Possibly  having clothing of a little more "refinement".  Some of those extra special pieces are also offered here.     

 The "finds"  in this category  will  include outer clothing, underwear, shoes and  hats plus other children's accessories.   If you like to sew you will also find vintage children patterns such as Butterick, Simplicity and McCall to name a few.  

The age groups  represented here are from baby to toddler, young child to pre-teen.
