Dating from the late 1930s to early part of the 1940s a lovely silk chiffon party dress or nightgown in a lemon yellow fabric.
The garment is home sewn with hand embroidered sprays of flowers in a delicate pink with green leaves. Gathered through the bust line on to a straight wide waistband. Side ties to adjust the fit at the waist. Gathered below the waist to drape in slight folds to the hem line
Simple pleasing style to the back.
Measurements: 48" long from the middle of the shoulder strap to the hem. 31" around the bust.. 30" around the waist.
Condition is very nice. More than likely recently cleaned and pressed.
