A lovely young girl's dress from the late Victorian / early 1900s. Would fit a child about 12 yrs old. Bodice of dress is made of rows of whitework ydg alternating with fine pin tucks & Valenciennes lace. Repeat on the full length sleeves. High collar with lace & pin tucks. Hidden placket buttons the back of the dress to the waist. Two sets of of 5 rows each pin tucks decorate either side of the back opening. Box pleats fall from the whitework waistband. Lower part of skirt is also of lace & whitework. 3-1/2" bottom ruffled edged with lace. This dress has been cleaned & pressed. The only damage I found is 1" missing lace on the top row of collar. It looks as if this was caught on something. There are two rows of lace on the collar with just the top one being damaged. Perhaps this top row could be removed or just mended. This is a very lovely dress regardless. Measurements: 32-1/2 long from neckline to hem. 13" across the shoulders. 25" around the waist. 28" around the chest.
