A beautiful late 1930 - 1940 hand quilted Irish Chain quilt in a variety of printed fabrics including feed sacking. The small 1/2" fabric squares in an array of colors make up an overall impressive design.
Diamond and flower design to the quilting with seven stitches to the inch. Self binding, machine stitched, turned and handstitched. Size of the quilt is 82" x 84".
Quilt is unused and never laundered, although I am sure some of the fabrics used in the quilt had been laundered previously before being assembled into the quilt.
Wonderful condition. No holes or stains that I found.
