Antique Victorian Early 1900's Figural Bed Sheet / Drawn Lace and Embroidery

A gorgeous bed sheet from the late Victorian / early 1900's era. A lovely figural bed sheet in an Appenzell with embroidery work. A Grecian head of woman in the center of an oval measuring 7" wide x 9-1/4" tall. The oval area is worked in pulled or drawn thread. Surrrounding the oval is a beautiful flora pattern of embroidery work. Center of the larger flowers are worked in Appenzell, too. The entire size of this whole center affair is 19"wide x 12" tall. The smaller design of the embroidered flowers meanders along to near each of the corners , turning the corner and extending 17" down either side of the sheet. Irregular scallop edge finishes the sheet edge. The bottom edge of the sheet is also finished with the scallop edging. Overall size of the sheet is 91" wide x 100" long. The fabric speaks of high quality cotton so special from this time period. Condition of the sheet is beautiful. Athough freshly laundered and pressed I did notice a couple of dots - just dots - of oxidation a long an edge. Please email me if more information may be needed.
