Another delightful confection dating from the 1920's boudoir, combining lovely lace and ribbon into a fanciful bandeau head band.
The wearer would have felt quite elegant as well as quite fashionable.
The lace is made in two layers with the under layer in a very soft shade of pink tulle edged with stripe design. The top layer is of Valenciennes lace.
Gathered pink silk satin ribbon edges the center of the band. Two ribbon rosettes accent either end.
The band measures 16-1/2" long x 4" wide.
Most of these bands have ribbon ties on either end, however, this one does not nor appears never to have.
Clean and I belive unused, however I did find a mend in the lace from a straight tear which is about 2-1/2" long. If you look at the first photo on the upper left side, you will notice the mend.
