Flapper Era Charmeuse Silk Bed Jacket Alencon Lace Rosette Trim
A gorgeous vintage late Edwardian - 1920's Charmeuse silk bed jacket in a soft shade of pinky-peachy color. Wide Alencon lace edges the neck line and hem of the jacket. Certainly a nice added touch and a perfect accent. Kimono or bat wing style sleeves give ample room for arm movement plus makes an interesting line, when the arms are against the body, as the fabric drapes so beautifully. The front opening is also embellished with the most beautiful silk ribbon rosette to further make this piece of lingerie a true treasure that it is.
Although no labels the quality of the silk and lace reflect a high standard and impeccably made.
Measurements: 23" long from the neck line to hem center front. 24-1/2" long center back. About 15" across from shoulder to shoulder (as there are no shoulder seams). Bust would be about a 34" to 36", as again, there are no side seams.
Condition: Very nice. No holes or tears in either the satin or lace. No oxidation that I noticed. I will mention though near the bottom front left side (as looking at the photo) there are two dark marks about the size of a dot. This the only flaw that I see.
