A fabulous find dating from the Edwardian era!
A pure silk shawl with the most gorgeous border of deep pink roses extending 91-1/2" from one side to the other along the bottom edge.
The top and side edges are of the plain green silk (of course, measuring the same length - 91-1/2" long).
Width across the shawl is 32" wide.
Bottom and top edges are selvage edges while the two short sides have been finished in a basting stitch.
Width of the of roses measures 16" at the widest point to 8-1/2" at the narrow point.
Condition of the shawl is quite nice, however, I did find one tiny hole near one of the top corners in the green silk.
In my opinion, a no harm flaw.
No stains.
This would be a treasure that I am sure would please.
