Product Information
Here's an antique country blue and white check homespun apon with a cross stitch in a Greek Key pattern that reminds me of the Pennysylvania Dutch. Not that it is, but just reminds me.The apron dates late 1890's to the very early 1900's.
This wonderful apron is in unused condition with the fabric so crispy clean. It is home sewn with a remnant of the fabric still tucked in the apron pocket. The apron is made with a seams at side center with the slightly gathered ruffle fitting between these two seams. The cross stitch embroidery highlights the ruffle.
Length of the apron is 38-1/2" long and 24-1/2" across the waist (not including the long ties).
A great apron to add or start a collection.
A photo of the pocket.
A glimpse of the red cross stitch and ruffle area.
