Here's a colorful cotton print hot potholder in the shape of a butterfly. Dating from the 1930's - 1940's time period. A double set of "wings" will help provide an extra thickness for lifting the lids of hot pans. Blue bias tape secures the edges and gives an extra embellishment. A bias loop for hanging.
The eyes are featured with black beads and embroidery thread floss gives the extra accent to body of this bug.
Appears to be tredle machine sewn. Length of the potholder is 6-1/2" long x 6-1/4" wide at the widest point. Never used and in excellent condition.
