Later 1930's white batiste baby dress with round yoke filled with lace alternating with fabric. Hemstitching at the edge of the yoke to separate it from the main body of the dress. Sets of vertical pintucks accent the yoke area.
Sleeve is edged with lace. Three narrow rows of pin tucks top the hem line. The only damage I found on the dress was a small nip of fabric at the hem line. Possibly had been caught & tore ever so slightly. The back of the dress closes with two button that are fastened with thread loops.
The length of the dress is 18" long from neckline to hem. 8" across from one shoulder to the other. Sleeve length is 5-7/9" long. Chest is 24" around. A very sweet little dress.
Although this particular piece is not suitable for renaissance or re-enactment wear, with a little imagination, all of our vintage children's clothing makes perfect accessories for acting or drama club costuming.
