Here is an exceptional vintage girl's slip/petticoat dating from the late 1930's to the early 1940's. It is completely hand stitched in fine even stitches.
It is a lovely speciman of hand work that a young mother would have been delighted to have a child to wear.
Even the narrow tucks and lace are applied by hand. Notice the hem line of the slip is made in a scallop design.
Two buttons on either shoulder fasten the slip for easy access.
The slip is in very fine condition. Freshly laundered and ready to be worn or admired.
Would fit a toddler 1-2 years of age.
Measurements: 18" long from the neck line to hem. 7-1/2" across from shoulder to shoulder. 22" around the chest (this is max).
Lovely piece for photography work or for gift giving.
