Dress your child, toddler or your favorite teddy bear in these wonderful "so patriotic" 1940's vintage blue stripe and star fabric overalls. Still, if you can't find anyone to dress, this great little garment would be perfect to hang & admire especially for the 4th of July.
The fabric is a cotton print of pale blue & darker blue stripe studded with stars. White buttons fasten the overalls at the straps & side openings. Little patch pocket on one side of the front. Measurement of this garment is 23-1/2" long from the middle of the shoulder strap to the hem line. 21" around the waist.
Condition is very nice even though they have been worn & laundered. There has been some repair to the inside seam of the one leg. In fact, I didn't notice until close examination as the fabric has been expertly matched so the stripe of the fabric are exactly the same. It is certainly not very obvious and being on the inside area of the leg does not show.
Probably would fit a child age 1-1/2 to 2 yrs old.
Although this particular piece is not suitable for renaissance or re-enactment wear, with a little imagination, all of our vintage children's clothing makes perfect accessories for acting or drama club costuming.
