Sweet 1940 Girl Embroidery Applique Fruit Pinafore Sundress
A very sweet late 1930's or early 1940's little girl's pinafore sundress. It is home sewn dress in a light blue cotton fabric. Ruffles across the sleeves trimmed in a goldenrod color rick rack trim. The same trim edges the top of the single patch pocket. Fruits are appliqued and embroidered on the yoke of the dress as well as the front of skirt. Four buttons fasten the back to just below the waist. The remainder of the skirt is open.
Dress has been worn and washed, although still in very nice condition. It is freshly laundered and ready to wear or be admired.
Measurements of the little dress: 19-1/2" long from the neckline to the hem. 9-1/2" across from shoulder to shoulder. 21" around the waist.
