It always pleases me when I can offer a wonderful antique or vintage item in unused condition still in the original box. Here is such an offering of a very nice pair of vintage 1920s- 1930s shoe stretchers presented in the original paper covered box.
The pair are wood and metal with the metal "stretcher" incased in silk / rayon faille ribbon. A delicate shade of lavender color is a soft feminine touch.
The box lid is equally astounding with its bold graphic design of deep orange, hot pink, gold, blue and white with a motif of flora and butterfly.
Bottom of the box is plain white cardboard. Condition of the box is as follows: two breaks in the side wall of the box bottom on the one side and one on the other. One break in a corner of the lid, however, has been mended with tape.
The shoe stretchers, themselves, are in very nice condition.
