Here is one of those little items I don't really have a catagory for. However, I decided to list this Victorian silk ribbon art calling card case with the adult clothing as a lady from the 1900's would have, indeed, carried a case for her calling cards as an accessory.
The silk ribbon art case is hand made from printed silk ribbon. Folded and stitched into a small case to hold calling card. A cardboard liner keeps the case stiff and free of bending.
A narrow pink silk ribbon has been added for a handle and to tie the front of the case closed.
The edge of the flap of the case is embellished with an embroidery stitch for further accent.

Measurements: 3" wide x 4" long.
Condition: The narrow ribbon does have some breaks in the ribbon as can be seen in the photographs. The ribbon that covers the case is in very nice condition but does have a couple of tiny little frays.
Along with the case are two calling cards of Miss Skilton, Monroeville, Ohio.
