Antique Victorian 1900 Long White Bib Apron Eyelet Trim

Product Information

Ladies Wonderful Long White Bib Apron Dating Early 1900

The usefulness of an apron is to protect the clothes beneath from being soiled and yet there are some aprons that defy the thought of accepting this chore.  There are those that just seem to pretty.

This long bib apron has pretty eyelet trim across the shoulders to give an extra formal look.

The waist band has short tabs (ties) with a button on the one tab to fasten.  The long shoulder straps meet the waist line and are secured at the waist band with the same button that fastens the tabs.

A view of the tabs and shoulder straps.  The only flaw I see to this arrangement of fastening the shoulder straps onto the waist band is this:  there is no button hole at the end of one of the long straps but only a slit in the fabric to accomodate the button.  And yet it definitely fastened this way.  What can I say?

The only other flaw I see to this lovely apron, which you can see in the photo above, is a dark mark near the button on the tab.  This did not come out in washing and probably will not.  Certainly a minor flaw but nevertheless, I want to mention.

Apron has been cleaned and pressed.

Measurements:  34" long from the waist band to the hem.  48" long from the middle of shoulder strap to the hem.  24" around the waist.
