Product Information
A late Victorian - early Edwardian blue and white cotton blouse with interesting detailing of fabric placement. This pretty blouse is fully lined except for the sleeves in a muslin. A full ruffle adds detail to the yoke area on both the front and back of the blouse.
Hidden placket with the buttons stitched to the inside plaid fabric fastening to the handmade button holes stitched into the muslin. A larger china button fastens the waistband.
Notice the fuller sleeve with a wide cuff. The blouse has been made for a young miss probably in her middle or later teens years.
Condition is very nice with no holes or mends that I found. You may find some very slight oxidation from storage although I haven't noticed any.
Measurements: 15-1/4" long from the neck line to waist band. The same measurement from the center back to the waist. 24" around the bust. 20-1/2" around the waist. Sleeve length is 21-1/4" long.
With a little imagination, all of our vintage children's clothing makes perfect accessories for re-enactment or renaissance costuming, or photography work.
