What a precious child's undergarment from the early 1900s Edwardian era. Certainly today this full slip would be lovely worn as a sundress ~ a photographer's delight! All of our Victorian and Edwardian antique children's clothing and accessories are perfect for your re-enactment and renaissance costuming needs! Four vertical tucks on either side of a inset of whitework trim accents the bodice of the slip. Narrow lace edging trims the armhole openings and the neckline Body of the skirt is embellished with four rows of tucks on either side of another insertion of whitework trim. A 5-1/2" wide eyelet ruffle finishes the hem line. Back of the petticoat fastens with two pearl buttons. Condition: Although very nice it does have a few flaws which can be expected. A couple of little nips from the eyelet trim as shown in the photos below and four little pin hole dots in the body of the fabric. Measurements: 19-1/2" long from the neckline to the hem. 8" across from shoulder to shoulder. 23" around the chest. My thought it would fit a child about 2-3 yrs of age.
