Young Girl's Low Cut 1880-1890 Shoe
Its not often that I see young girl's Victorian shoes. Baby and toddler shoes, yes, but shoes for an older child are not as easily found. This featured pair date 1880's - 1890's and would fit a girl about 8 years old.
The pair are made of brown leather with scallop along the side. Three black shoe buttons fasten the shoes. The shoes do have a small heel measuring 3/4" in height. The inside of the shoes are in a wonderful red leather interior. Although somewhat worn around the heel.
Generally the condition of the shoes are very good considering the age. As you notice, some cracking to the leather, although still very pliable. Looking at the soles, I believe they have be re-soled at some point. All shoes buttons are intact and no holes or tears in the shoes.
Measurements: 6-1/2" long from toe to heel. 2-1/4" across the ball of foot.
