Product Information
Edwardian - 1920s child's silk coat with large capelet type collar. Many of our items are more than suitable for childrens re-enactment or renaissance accessories. Bodice is gathered and attached to the lower part of the coat. Hook and eye closure at the neckline with the remainder of the coat open down the front. Only the inside of bodice and sleeves are lined in muslin.
Length of the coat from center back to the hem is 20" long. Measurement across from one shoulder to the other is 10-1/8". 9-1/4" sleeve length. Chest is 22" around. Long puffy sleeves with wide cuff. Lace trimmed cuff and along the edge of the collar. Front side of the coat shows the capelet collar. Back of the coat shows the very wide collar dipping to the waist. The width of the collar center back is 8-3/4" wide. Notice the close up view of the back of capelet collar below, which does have a few imperfections. The largest of the holes measures 1/8" in diameter. A couple other pin holes. No other damage to the coat that I found. Wonderful creamy color to the silk. Oh so pretty! Why not dress a child, a doll or a bear in authentic Edwardian clothes? If no one to dress consider this silk coat to add to a decorating display!
