An original 19th century red plaid homespun pillow sham cover. A large size sham measuring 28-1/2" x 30". The opening is on the one end which fastens with two white china buttons. Although used with some fading of the colors, the sham is in very nice condition. Why not add this country piece to your textile collection!
As you will note the the front and back of the sham are of two different fabrics. Perhaps the maker didn't have the acquired amount of fabric to make the sham of the same fabric. One can only guess....
