Lovely Vintage 1950 Hand Tatted Edge Trim Linen Handkerchief
The art of vintage needlework has never been so prevelant than it has with edging lace for handkerchiefs. The handkerchief dates from the 1950's. The tatted lace edging is handmade and applied to the edge of the linen fabric.
The proflication of these beautitful edgings were made just passed the mid century when the use of a handkerchief was mainly replaced by the Kleenix.
It is unused and in lovely condition. Size of the hankie is 12-1/4" overall. Width of the tatting, itself is 1/2" wide.
