A beautiful antique vintage linen tablecloth with cut work embroidery and Point Venice insets. This cut work embroidery fills the rectangle center of the cloth as well as the border.
Point Venice insets in each of the four corners with edging of 2-3/4" scalloped darned net machine lace. Overall size of the cloth is 72" wide x 88" long.
This vintage tablecloth has been well cared for and has been freshly laundered and ironed. It is in very nice condition although there are a few slight flaws.
I found three broken threads in the ladder work. Threads are still attached but broken away from the one side. I am sure a few stitches would secure these threads again.
I also noticed two very small areas where the Point Venice inset is pulling away from the linen fabric. Both of these areas would not measure more than 1/4 to 1/2" in length.
Beautiful antique or vintage linens such as this tablecloth for the most part have been used so some imperfections are to be expected.
