Wonderful Pair of Vintage 1950s Hand Crochet Percale Pillowcases
Here is a fabulous 1950's pair of vintage hand crochet lace pillowcases of percale tubing fabric. Cases are unused and never washed. I am offering these cases from a home of two unmarried sisters who spent much leisure time in the art of tatting, embroidery and crocheting. Didn't matter if they used or gave them away they loved the joy of making beautiful needle work pillowcases. So the drawers and closets were full of unused pieces! I can also attest, their work is beautifully done. The pair I am offering are hand crochet in a green and white thread. Deep crochet lace set in a scallop pattern on the front along with one row of hem stitching. Back of the cases is a narrow crochet lace edge. Depth of the needlework on the front of each case is 6-/2" including the row of hem stitching. The narrow edging on the back of case is 3/8" wide. Overall size is 22" wide x 34-1/2" long. Never laundered so you will find oxidation from storage.
