Here is a lovely example of the type of damask woven redwork towel so prevelant during the Victorian time.
This one is especially nice as it has never been used with a beautiful rose flora motif woven into the white.
Redwork stripes on either end of the towel.
5" fringe on either end of the towel. Overall size measures 21" wide x 44" long which includes the fringe.
The roses decorate the center white area of the towel..
Although the towel has never been used it has been laundered to freshen, howver, a small oxidation mark did not come out. Perhaps in will in the second washing. It is light enough, therefore, it is not noticably seen.
