Here is a wonderful exceptional estate find! Man's best friend is featured on this later Victorian towel. Damask linen in a natural color with the dog printed in Indigo blue. Certainly another plus is the towel has never been used, lovingly stored away only to surface recently. The pattern of the damask is in a flora and fern pattern with lovely scroll work surrounding the head of the dog. Dog and fringe appear on both ends of the towel. Even a bit of the original paper label is still stuck to the towel. You might find some oxidation marks otherwise immaculate. Size is 39" long including the 2-1/2" fringe on either end. 19" wide.
