Product Information
A group of 8 antique net lace tulle doilies, each different, handpainted in a cream oil paint from the Strong Museum in Rochester, New York. Each carry the catalog numbered tag.
Wonderful example of this type of work done in the early part of the 1900's of young ladies schooled in the fine art of painting and needlework.
The doilies measure 5-1/2" in diameter and as I stated each are painted with a different motif.
Some are of flowers while others abstracts.
All are in good condition except on the outside edge of one some of the paint material has broken away which is a minor and expected issue in work of this age.
