Product Information
A perfect little jewel for a sewing collection especially if you yearn for hand made pieces from the past.
This needle case dates from the Victorian - early 1900's era and is made of tight crochet over brass rings.
Each ring is sewn to the next to make a round form. Pretty decorative stitches fill the center of the rings and in this particular case one pattern on the one and another pattern on the back.
Two fine wool leaves for storing needles are edged in embroidery blanket stitch.
Narrow cream silk ribbon bow accents the top of the case.
Size is 2-5/8" diameter.
Although the outside of the case is very nice the wool leaves do show some damage.
I have listed two other needle cases made in the same style in separate listings. Add one or all three to a collection.
