I find these old needlework magazines and books so interesting not only for the beauty of the items but also to learn the uses.
There are certainly a number of items one does ponder the usage from such a long time ago.
So it is that I find the early needle craft books a valuable resource of history and study.
This particular book is the December 1911 issue published every month by the Florence Publishing Co., Florence, Mass.
The size of the book is 7" x 10 with 79 pages.
Some advertising is included, however, most are of needlework projects including embroidery, knitting and crochet work.
This particular issue has instruction on making Irish Crochet. A lace collar and jabot in Honiton lace plus several knitted and crochet baby bonnets etc. Pictured also are wonderful stamped goods to purchase for embroidery work. Such as this wonderful cloth Santa to embroidery and stuff. This certainly would have been a delight to a small child. Condition of book has had normal usage over the time. Some slight damage to the spline of book, however no significant damage.
I found no missing or torn pages.
