A very sweet, very 1930's Scottie dog applique crib quilt. The quilt is made up of muslin blocks set diamond shaped. Eight are the applique Scottie dogs with three plain muslin blocks in the center. Triangle shaped muslin pieces are used to fill in where needed.
The border, although in plain muslin measures 5-1/2" wide on all four sides. Overall size is 36" w x 65" long.
The applique dogs, themselves, measure 8" tall. All are made of a small flowery cotton print with a solid green for the scarf. Black embroidery facial features.
The quilting is hand stitched on a diagonal from the top left to the bottom right. This is absolutely an adorable quilt. Although no damage I found, it is just as removed from an old trunk so could use a bath. You will find some dots of oxidation from the storage although minor.
Green bias tape hand stitched edges the quilt.
