A wonderful group of 8 handstitched quilt blocks with newspaper backing. The blocks date from the 1890 or about 1910 perhaps. They are handstitched in calico fabrics of multi colors and patterns. Size is 15" square from the tip to tip. Very interesting newspaper backing as there is some advertising which is neat to see.
Although the blocks have never been used there are some flaws from storage. One block has a small tear in the edge corner of one of the fabrics. Another couple do have some running of the color. So you are buying the blocks "as found".
