A lovely appliqued and embroidered never used and never laundered quilt from the 1940 - 1950s era in a daffodil motif.
There are 12 blocks forming this quilt with each of the daffodils in a swan planter block measuring 16" x 17-1/2". Overall size of the quilt is 69" wide x 92" long.
The border, itself, measures 6" wide with the sashing between the daffodil blocks measuring 3-3/4" wide.
Color is a light golden rod with a lighter goldenrod bias trim which is machined on the one side, rolled & hand stitched. Same golden rod color back as the front.
The quilting is handstitched with 7 stitches to the inch. Very thin batting between the layers.
Beautiful condition as it is unused, however, there is some oxidation mostly to one block. A very charming look to this quilt and one that would make a decorating statement.
