This was a souvenir hanky dating from World War 1, however the silk embroidery work was completely shredded so has been removed from the center. A very pretty edging of Valenciennes lace and two different colors of silk/rayon ribbon. The width of this lace and ribbon measures 8" wide. Inside opening measures 5-3/4" x 5-1/2". Overall size is 21" x 22". Condition: although very nice you will find a dot or two of oxidation. Also some weakness to the ribbon here and there but relatively minor. A beautiful large piece of lace and ribbon work. Perfect for an imaginative project.
