A time of established wealth and display of opulance was no greater than during the mid to later Edwardian era into the roaring '20's. Gowns from the Paris couture houses spoke of elegance dripping in laces and embellishments to dazzle the eye. And it is with great pleasure to offer a spectacular dress embellishment from this time period. The length of the black glass beaded tassel is 21" long. Starting at the top, a beaded ball measuring 1-1/4" in diameter sets the design with smaller and larger beads defining each strand. There are 18 strands and as near as I can tell all are perfect. Smaller ball & loop at the very top for fastening. Original string tag with "Made In France" marking. A perfect piece for costuming or reproducing clothing of the period. Or just admire.
