6-1/2 yards x 3-1/2" wide brown silk or rayon silk Congress ribbon on the original spool. Dates about 1900 - 1920's. Ribbon is unused and I have taken it off to measure. The ribbon had been pinned to the spool for many years and I was very careful to remove it (have you ever tried removing rusty old pins?)
A pin hole has occurred in the ribbon where the pin has been removed. Towards the end of the spool I did find some mildew marks along the edge. I noticed some easily brushed off. Even though I personally consider minor others folks may not. A lovely shade of brown in otherwise very nice condition.
