Product Information
This jolly old elf wants to spread good chear and deliver toys to all good girls and boys.
The stand up cardboard Santa dates from the 1950s published by Whitman Publishing. Numbered 3782:29
Santa stands 22-1/2" tall x 11-1/4 wide at the widest point.
Nicely detailed and realistic.
A look at the back. Cardboard easel for standing.
Condition: Although very nice it has been handled over the last 50 plus years to you will find some normal wear.
Here is what I see: A crease of the cardboard corner as in the above photo. An ever so slight crease on the opposite corner although not really noticable on the front side.
If you notice in the second photo from the top a white line from the tip of Santa's cap at his right shoulder. I would say this is more of a flex rather than an actual crease. Just enough movement in the cardboard to make a distinctive line but not enough to actually cause a bend. This line extends about 1/3/4" long.
It is a wonderful Santa and so characteristic of the period.
