A lovely pillow sham dating from about the early 1900s in turkey red embroidery with fold over backing for inserting and removing pillow. Monogrammed are the initials L P on the front of sham. It came from an estate of the name of Peelings, however, no other history available.
Size of the initials are 2-3/4" in height. The pretty sham is edged with bobbin lace trim. Overall size of the sham is 28" x 28-1/2" including the lace edging. The back opening would take a pillow measuring 24" x 25". Condition of the sham is very nice with some gentle usage. Clean and pressed with no damage that I noticed.
