A beautiful pair of embroidered monogram pillowcase shams with buttons to close the case. Dating from the later Victorian - early 1900s era. Each pillow case is edged with Swiss Eyelet embroidery whitework. Concealed buttons at the end of each case. Lovely monogram initials of O T (I believe). The monogram is 3-3/4" tall x 6-3/4" across the two letters.
Width of the trim edging is 2-1/2" wide. Overall size of the cases are 20" wide x 29" long.
The quality of the fabric is beautiful - a very high count cotton so prevelant during this time period. Almost a linen look and feel. The condition of the cases are very nice with little or no usage. Freshly cleaned and pressed.
