Middy outfits for children have always been a popular style over the years, however, at the turn-of-the-century, the style was highly in fashion for children as well as adult wear.
So why not the same style for a little girl's dolly to wear? A child would want her doll to be fashionable, too.
So I am offering this cute little middy or sailor doll blouse dating from the late Victorian - early 1900's. The red and white stripe is a chambrey fabric. Seems to be nicely made. No fastenings down the front as it pinned closed at the neck line. Length of the blouse is 6" long from the neck line to the waist band. 4-1/2" across from shoulder to shoulder. 6-1/2" around the waist. Chest is 10" around. Sleeve length is 4-1/4" long. Opening at the cuff is 2" around. Condition is very nice.
